Lisa Laird has been a puppeteer since the year 2000 but branched out into ventriloquism in 2005 in order to use the benefits of puppetry in her preschool classroom. Like many professional ventriloquists, Lisa began her training through the Maher Ventriloquism course. She completed all three levels of the Ventriloquist in Training program offered through Creative Ministry Solutions, and has received private training from Stephen Knowles, Ken Groves and Mark Wade.
Lisa has also entered competitions to challenge herself and has received four Gold awards from Creative Ministry Solutions, as well as First Place in the Axtell Video Contest in 2013. She has been asked to perform at various conferences sponsored by Creative Ministry Solutions. In July of 2014 Lisa was one of the featured performers at the International Ventriloquist ConVENTion.
Since “retiring” from teaching in 2008 Lisa has been traveling full-time as a family entertainer with her cast of characters known as Pockets Full of Fun, providing programs which entertain, encourage and educate children of all ages!
