FAQ:
Q: What type of area do you need for your program and how long will it take for you to set up?
A:
I will need an area about 6 feet wide by 10 feet long to set up my stage area. In most church sanctuaries I can use the platform. My backdrop is adjustable so I can usually make it fit the area quite well. It takes me approximately 20 minutes to set up but I like to arrive at least 60 minutes before the show is scheduled to start.
Q: What do we need to provide you with?
A:
I will take along my own stage backdrop and performance equipment. I also have my own sound system, it does
not
require an electrical outlet. I would like to know the approximate number of children which will be at the program so I can be sure to have enough prizes to hand out.
Q: Where should the children sit?
A:
In most cases the children can sit on the floor. If you would like to place a couple rows of folding chairs toward the back for adults or older children that is fine. I will use removable painter's tape to mark a line for the children to sit behind if that is necessary. In church sanctuaries the children can sit in the sanctuary seating.
Q: Will you mail us a contract or an invoice?
A:
I will mail out an invoice/contract which lists the program fee and the mileage fee as well as any extra fees for crafts or lodging. I do not need payment before the day of the program, you can give me the payment when I arrive.
Q: What do you charge and do you charge the same for church programs?
A:
If you contact me I will send you a program guide which lists my program fees.I have a separate fee for 20-30 minute and 35-45 minute shows. For locations within a 50 mile radius of Orange City the program fee includes mileage. Outside the radius I will add a .50 per mile charge for each mile outside the radius. For church programs I would like to be paid either my regular fee but I will not charge a mileage fee unless the location is further than 75 miles away from Orange City.
Q: Will you do programs for Nursing homes, retirement homes or Senior Citizens?
A:
Most of my programming is directed towards children, but I will do programs for nursing homes and retirement homes. I do suggest that the facility invite a group of children to come for the program. Most schools or day care facilities will welcome a chance for a free field trip! Residents usually enjoy the program more when they see children enjoying themselves as well. I do not charge for nursing home performances.
"You give a perfect performance and our staff and residents really love you and your puppets. They talk about it and encourage others to stay to watch and always wish their children were present. Our residents always enjoy seeing the children that come. They are always so involved mentally and physically throughout your program."
